It’s estimated that over 90% of traditional MMA training involves the use of martial arts techniques that never considered the high-pressure nature of fighting up against a cage. Traditional striking and grappling arts are suited for open spaces, with rules set in place to prevent the typical cage-based scenarios we find in MMA. Yet, the cage is a common place for MMA fighters to collide. This means that many MMA fighters are clueless on which techniques to use when fighting against the cage.
